Cho Yu as well as many other beautiful and magnificent Himalayan peaks. The lifestyle of the famous mountain climbing tribe, Sherpa, is another fascinating attraction on this trip. The Sherpa are world famous for being brave mountain climbers – without whom mountain climbing is near impossible. Everest region is home for these highly skillful people. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival Day - 1400 m

    Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. An Earthbound representative will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Hyatt Regency or similar.

  • Day 2

    Kathmandu Exploration Day - 1400 m

    Full day heritage sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with an English speaking guide. The sites include Boudhanath Stupa – the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world, Pashupatinath Temple – the most important Shiva temple in Nepal where Hindu dead people are cremated in the open funeral pyres on the bank of the river called Bagmati, Patan Durbar Square – a medieval royal place area which is an epitome of the medieval art and craft works, and Swoyambhunath – popularly known as monkey temple, this is the oldest site in Kathmandu valley. Overnight at Hotel Hyatt or similar. B

  • Day 3

    Kathmandu - Phakding - 2610 m

    Take a fantastic mountain flight on a regular aircraft to the world famous Tenzing – Hilary Airport in Lukla with your guide. Meet rest of the trekking crew members at Lukla and start walking to Phakding, the day’s destination (about 4 hours walk). Stay overnight at Luxury Mountain Lodge - Yeti Mountain Home. B/L/D

  • Day 4

    Phakding - Namche - 3440 m

    Early morning breakfast with mountain view. Depart for a six-hour walk to the beautiful mountain town of Namche. Enjoy the beauty of the walk in the mountain; go at your own pace. Yeti Mountain Home. B/L/D

  • Day 5

    Acclimatization Day at Namche - 3440 m

    Spend your day enjoying the beauty of the dashing Namche and the view from there. Feel comfortable with the mountain climate as you slowly acclimatize with it. Yeti Mountain Home. B/L/D

  • Day 6

    Namche - Tyangboche/Diboche - 3867 m

    Enjoy the view of Everest, Lhotse - mountains above 8000 m - and other beautiful Himalayan peaks as you walk through cooling rhododendron, pine, cider forest to go to Tengboche. You will be awestruck by the awesomeness of a historical fourteenth century Buddhist Monastery – Thengboche Monastary. Pray and make your wish there and walk twenty minutes further down to Diboche – the day’s stopover. Rivendell Lodge. B/L/D

  • Day 7

    Diboche - Dingboche - 4530 m

    A beautiful six-hour walk will take you to the mountain town of Dingboche. As you are now walking in the altitude, you have to follow your pace keeping constant communication with your body. By the time you reach Dingboche, your body might start reacting to the altitude so we stop for the acclimatization break the next day as well. Enjoy the beauty of the mountains from there as you acclimatize. Good Luck Guest House. B/L/D

  • Day 8

    Acclimatization Day at Dingboche - 4530 m

    Enjoy the day as you go for side hike to acclimatize to the high altitude climate. B/L/D

  • Day 9

    Dingboche – Lobuche – 4910 m

    This is another beautiful day of about six hours of walking taking you to a charming place called Lobuche. Walk at a slow pace as you enjoy the mountains, yaks, prayer flags, and culture as you adjust to the height and conquer it! B/L/D

  • Day 10

    Lobuche - Gorakshep - 5164 m

    A long day and an early start. We trek along the rough path along the side of the Khumbu glacier to the tea shacks at Gorak Shep. Attractive view of the 7000m peak of Pumori that dwarfs our trek’s summit of Kala Patthar. The route up is straight and takes most people between 90 minutes and 2 hours. All the peaks - Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam and scores of other lesser peaks can be seen from this wonderful vantage point. B/L/D

  • Day 11

    Gorakshep – Pheriche – 4371 m

    From the dry sandy area of Gorakshep, it is the day we trek to the Everest Base Camp. Later return to Pheriche via Lobuche. B/L/D

  • Day 12

    Pheriche - Namche - 3440 m

    We walk back to Namche, one of the beautiful Sherpa villages to spend overnight. B/L/D

  • Day 13

    Namche – Phakding – 2610 m

    We continue our descent via Namche Bazar to Phakding. B/L/D

  • Day 14

    Phakding – Lukla – 2860 m

    Return to Lukla where we spend the night. B/L/D

  • Day 15

    Lukla – Kathmandu – 1400 m

    Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel and enjoy the trekker’s special massage and evening cultural show and dinner. B/D

  • Day 16

    Departure Day

    Transfer to airport for final departure. B
